How to care for your Landrum Table
General Care
- Make sure not to place your table in direct sunlight.
- Try to avoid exposing the table to extreme changes in humidity.
- Use protective pads under the feet of the table.
- Always use drink coasters and placemats. Wipe up any spills immediately.
- Use protective pads under hot dishes.
- Wipe dust off with a slightly damp cloth.
Wood Maintenance
- Periodically buff with a lint-free cloth to renew the shine. The more it's buffed, the better it looks.
- When needed, apply a very thin coat of wax and then buff with a soft, lint free cloth. Always remember to wipe with the grain of the wood to prevent noticeable streaks.
- To remove drink rings, use a very small amount of wax applied to a piece of fine, synthetic steel wool. Rub lightly with the grain. Allow the wax to dry for 5-10 minutes. Remove the wax in the direction of the grain with a clean, lint-free cloth. We recommend Johnson's Paste Wax (clear) which can be purchased at Lowe's or other home improvement stores.
Stainless Steel Maintenance
- For routine cleaning, use warm soap and water. Make sure to dry completely.
- Do not use cleaners that contain bleach or chloride.
- Stainless steel cleaners can be purchased at most home improvement stores.
- Minor scratches can be buffed out with an abrasive cloth, done slowly in a circular motion.
